With my daughter starting preschool this year, I have been looking for a bunch of learning activities to get her jumpstarted. The Hot Dots® brand is exactly what I was looking for! Hot Dots® offer award-winning interactive learning set which encourages independence and self-paced learning! There are toddler sets for children 2-3, preschool sets for children 3-6, and other sets for children 6-12. Since my daughter is three and will be heading to preschool, I thought the Preschool Rocks Set would be perfect for her! The Preschool Rocks Set includes two spiral-bound interactive card sets with 200+ activities, a Hot Dots® Jr. Pete the Cat® pen, an award certificate, and reward stickers. This set focuses on skills in reading, math, science, and social studies.prod2452_6_lg

I was surprised at how quickly my daughter caught on to the Hot Dots® Jr concept. Using the Pete the Cat® pen, all my daughter had to do was press the pen to her answer to see if she is right or wrong. If she is correct, Pete the Cat® will glow green and if she is incorrect, Pete the Cat® will glow red. I don’t have the slightest clue how Pete the Cat® knows the correct answer, but after observing my daughter with the first few questions I noticed that Pete the Cat® was always right! My daughter had such a fun time answering all of her questions, and would jump for joy every time she got one right. Every time she got one wrong, she would ask me for help so that she was sure to get it right the next time. Overall, I think Hot Dots® is a great way to get kids excited about learning! Not only are these sets super fun, but the kids don’t realize how much studying they are actually doing! I can’t wait to try some additional sets with her once she completes this Preschool Rocks Set!
