As most of you know, I am a sucker for organic cosmetics. I just feel better knowing the products I put on my face are safe and won’t harm my skin in the long-run. This is why I couldn’t pass up the chance to test out SUZANNE™ Organics Cosmetics. Suzanne Somers created this line to be free of artificial dyes, synthetic fragrances, led, chemical binders, PEGs, and parabens! They are also cruelty free and do not test their products on animals. Thankfully I was able to test out a few of her top-selling products to see if they made my cut.
Double‑Ended Eyebrow Pencil– I only recently started using eyebrow products to help shape and fill in my brows, so I was excited to try out this double ended eyebrow pencil. This product is made with Castor Seed Oil, Kelp, Rosemary and Sage Leaf to promote healthy skin and hair, while also allowing my eyebrows to appear fuller and healthier. I was surprised at how easily this product was to apply. As I would apply the product, I could flip the product around and use the brush to smooth and blend. By the time I was finished, you couldn’t even tell that I had used an eyebrow pencil because it was such a natural look!
Golden Shimmer Eyeshadow– I am a huge fan of neutral colors, so this golden shimmer pallet was right up my ally. The four colors featured on this pallet are “Stone,” “Sparkling Champagne,” “Topaz Shimmer” and “Spun Gold”. I first applied Topaz and Sparkling Champagne, then used Stone to create a natural looking smokey eye. The colors went on easily and I loved how buildable they were. I was able to get my desired look within seconds. I was also surprised at how long these colors lasted. I did not need to reapply or correct the colors at all throughout the day.
Lengthening Mascara– I am very weird about using new mascara, simply because it is so hard to find a decent brand. Mascara can easily become too clumpy or crusty, so once I find a good brand I don’t like to switch. Thankfully that was not the case with this SUZANNE Organics Lengthening Mascara. This mascara is blended with aloe and cocoa butter, so it went on smoothly and evenly. It was very buildable, but did not clump or crust after a few applications. The first application gave a very natural look, while two applications gave a more bold look. I tend to like the more natural look, however I ended up loving the bold look even more than usual!
Sheer Flawless Foundation– I was very nervous about trying this foundation because selecting a color over the computer screen could turn out to be a very orange disaster. I am usually a classic ivory, so I decided to order natural sand since it was closest to that color. Thankfully the color matched my skintone perfectly! I was blown away at how easily this foundation applied, as well as how buildable it was. I usually like a medium coverage foundation, and that is exactly what I got. However, I could have built this foundation up to a more full-coverage if needed. I did find that this foundation took a bit longer to dry than other foundations I have tried, but once the color set I was good to go! It did not oxidize throughout the day, and kept me looking natural!
Matte Finish Loose Powder – I must admit that this is probably my favorite product of the five I received. This matte finish loose powder gives a light flawless matte finish when applied over any foundation. Sometimes I have issues with my foundation setting into my skin and showcasing my acne or my fine lines. This loose powder helped blur those imperfections and gave my skin a flawless finish. I was a bit nervous about the color since there was only one option, however the “Honey” color matched my skintone perfectly (Classic Ivory) as well as my mother’s skin (Porcelain) by simply adjusting the amount of powder used. I did apply this throughout the day as needed simply because my skin tends to get very oily during the day.
