Raccoon Treehouse by Kids Academy is one of the very few apps I allow my daughter to play on her iPad.  Raccoon Treehouse has 12 interactive game boards which each contain different games such as matching, sorting, building and classification. Since this app was created by child psychologists and experienced educators, I know my daughter is actively learning in a way that is easy and fun!  Once I downloaded the game, I was surprised at how quickly my daughter was able to explore the app without my help. The layout is extremely kid-friendly and easy to use. Currently my daughter’s favorite board is the “Build” board where she is given an item that she needs to put back together. When she is completing this puzzle, I know she is learning important problem solving  and puzzle skills. Raccoon Treehouse also has a matching board (polycubes), a clothes board (shapes), a place board (logic), three matching boards (shapes), a sorting board (colors), a pairing board (silhouette), a sorting board (size), a memory board, and a series board. This single app covers topics that I would usually need 4-5 apps to cover. As with all Kids Academy apps, there are no ads to distract my daughter from learning and she is never directed out of the app. This is PERFECT  for encouraging learning skills in a fun new way!
