We want our children to be as good as possible around the holidays, but what happens when our children are TOO good? Did you know that Santa’s beard grows a little each time a child shares, plays fair, does their best, and tells the truth? This has become a big issue at the North Pole. Since so many children are being good, Santa’s beard is so long that he can hardly walk or make toys! The Myth of Santa’s Beard by Sharon Thayer tells the story of how Santa’s little elves come up with a plan to help Santa with his growing (litteraly) problem. Santa must choose some of the very best children off of his “Good List” to recieve a snippet of his magical beard. hardcoverwithbeard_41dc349b-0536-4085-8d3a-24d2d8ba836a

My daughter was extremely excited to read this book. She is finally at the age where she realizes that Santa brings her a bunch of goodies. She understood the story easily and was very captivated by the illustrations. She was SUPER excited to find her very own snippet of Santa’s beard at the end of the book and wanted to show it off to all of our family. I thought this book was very age-appropriate and the plot was adorable! This is definitely a book I would take out every Christmas and read to my family! Yet another new tradition added to our list!
