Curlee Girliee by Atara Twersky

Telling our kids that they’re perfect the way they are never gets us very far. I mean, we’re their parents and that’s what we’re supposed to say. Curlee Girliee by Atara Twersky is an adorable book that teaches little girls the value of self-love! Curlee Girliee wants to grow her hair long and straight, but instead she has crazy curls that she can’t seem to tame. She gets so frustrated because she wants to look like everyone else! Curlee Girlie quickly learns that her curly hair is what makes her special, and that she doesn’t need to change a thing about herself! When I first read this to my daughter, I was definitely amazed at how easily she understood the plot. The author did a fantastic job of making sure this story could reach children of all ages! The book was extremely relatable, even for me as an adult! It also helped that the illustrations were stunning and matched the story perfectly! My daughter was completely engrossed from start to finish!  Curlee Girliee is not only great for kids with curly hair, but it is great for anyone that may be a bit different and special in their own way!
