Purchasing eyeglasses for children can be exhausting and once you think you’ve purchased the perfect pair, BAM they’re broken. The Picklez brand from AC Lens provides stylish and affordable children’s eyeglasses. Made especially with children in mind, Picklez offers thirteen different styles in various colors and prints. We were more than excited to test out this brand. For Max we ordered the Picklez Spot Tortoise in turquoise green/crystal and for Emma we ordered the Picklez Lady Tortoise in purple. Ordering the glasses were very simple. After we chose the design we had to customize our lenses. First we had to select whether the lenses were single vision or progressive bifocal , then we had to enter prescription information (if you don’t have a copy, AC Lens will contact your eye doctor on your behalf). Lastly we had to select the lens package we prefered which included a gold package, platinum package, and transitional signature package. The gold package is automatically included in the purchase (lightweight, anti-reflective, UV protection, and scratch resistant coating), but I loved the idea of being able to upgrade for better quality (UltraThin Hi-Index 1.67 and Transitions® Signature™ ). After placing our order, I received an email requesting a copy of the kids’ prescriptions simply to verify accuracy before they shipped. I thought this was a nice touch to make sure the kids’ got exactly what they needed. We received the glasses about a week after we ordered. The kids LOVED them! Each pair came with a bright yellow protective case as well as a cleaning cloth! The bright colors looked adorable on both of them! I really love how our Picklez glasses do not have any metal pieces on the nose (bridge and/or nose pads) which tend to scratch the kids. Overall I am extremely impressed with our glasses. Great price for a great quality and such stylish little designs. The kids are super excited to show them off at school this week!
