My daughter absolutely LOVES helping me in the kitchen. She always offers to mix the ingredients, set the timer, wash the dishes, or help do basically anything she can get her hands on. In the past we would use kitchen chairs and foot stools for her to stand on so that she could reach everything on the bar. However, we recently had a mishap which end with Kinsley on the floor covered in cake mix. This Contemporary Kitchen Helper from Guidecraft is such a genius idea! Although assembly was required it was very easy and took me less than ten minutes. The instructions were labeled step-by-step with corresponding pictures which allowed me to set it up without additional help. Once assembled, this kitchen helper measured about 20″L x 21″W x 37″H. I was very surprised at how lightweight and easy to move this kitchen helper was. Since it is only 18 pounds, I am able to easily move it around the kitchen and place it wherever we are working. I was really glad that this fits flush against my counters which allows my daughter to easily reach all of the bowls and utensils that I set out for her. For security the helper offers locking sides which prevent my daughter from slipping off and the bottom of the helper has a foothold which allows my daughter get in and out without my help. I was a little worried about my daughter getting in and grabbing something off the counter when I was not around, however this helper can be folded flat for storage when not in use! It is actually the perfect size to slide in between the gap of my icebox and my counters. I really love knowing that this Kitchen Helper will grow with my daughter and we will be able to use it for many years to come. The platform adjusts to three different heights and can support up to 125 pounds. My daughter is currently two years old and 28 pounds, so we have a very long time before she outgrows this! I really wish I would’ve found this sooner! Definitely a MUST HAVE for every little helper out there!
