Sunny Salads Box from Kidstir

If you’re looking for a unique children’s activity box, this is the one! Instead of sending toys and snacks, Kidstir sends your children a unique cooking experience. Each month Kidstir sends out kid-friendly recipies and cooking tools. This month’s box was the “Sunny Salads” box. Inside this box there were three salad recipies which included “Rainbow-In-A-Bowl”, “Southwestern Sun Salad, and Colorful Cobb Salad. When I first opened the box, there was a shopping list right on top! This helped me figure out exactly what I needed to purchase in order for my daughter to make her yummy salads. The actual recipies came hole punched which makes it easy to snap into my daughter’s “recipe book” for safekeeping. This box also came with a citrus spritzer and a funnel to use while making the salads. I really love how this Kidstir subscription box offers a parent-child activity unlike a lot of other subscription boxes. We can work together to create a fresh and fun meal which includes fruits AND vegetables! This specific Kidstir salad box also teaches your child about different lettuce varieties, and helps them learn how to pick out different seasonal fruits. I love how this box encourages my daughter to be healthy with games like “Eat The Rainbow”. This little chart challenges my daughter to eat as many colorful fruits and veggies as she can in one week. The Kidstir subscription box is a fantastic concept, and offers a large variety of cute recipies to test out! They offer a monthly subscription starting at $15.95 for one month all the way up to $12.95 per month for 12 months (which is a fantastic value and saves you 35%)! I can’t wait to see what box we will receive next and my daughter is excited to expand her little cookbook!
